Due to the new opportunities, our client which is one of the market leaders in the Chemical industry is currently looking for an; “IT System Administrator” in İstanbul, Turkey.
JOB DESCRIPTION
· Ensure that the business IT security is the primary priority in all tasks undertaken regarding network, data, storage and communication systems
· Managing IT and Digital Transformation Projects
· Monitor and maintain IT systems and networks being the first point of contact internally ensuring continuous operational efficiency of the business; which includes company telephone system, mobile phones, CCTV, PC’s and laptops (this list is not exhaustive)
· Proactive involvement in all IT infrastructure escalation processes
· Aligning IT infrastructure with current and future business requirements
· Working with the finance team to manage IT budgets and forecasting ensuring cost-effectiveness is delivered at all times, with a monthly review in place
· Provide an excellent level of approachability, support and communication to both internal colleagues and external partnerships/suppliers/contractors
· Installation and configuration of computer systems, identifying faults and solving internal technical problems
· Assess and purchase new and replacement hardware within a structured time plan and in accordance with role requirements with authorized sign off
· Ensure replacement and repairs to hardware/software is completed within agreed timescales ensuring minimal disruption to colleagues and business functionality
· Maintain a live asset register status for all hardware and software throughout the organization, ensuring all assets are fully tracked both on and off-site
· Manage company communication providers ensuring service levels and budgetary responsibilities are met
· Proactively manage and improve external service and relationship with IT managed services providers; ensuring deliverance of contractual SLA’s, attending service level review meetings and providing updates/feedback to the business
· Proactively ensure full involvement in all business projects at an early stage to understand IT involvement required
· Proactively lead project activity from end to end with excellent communication, constantly seeking to make validated recommendations and ensuring there are back up plans to protect business functionality during implementation stages
· Advise company on IT equipment, networking, connectivity needs and purchase parts, products and services as necessary
· Where applicable, run tender processes to ascertain best supplier fit for key products and services
· Review existing company ERP functions and identify, propose and implement new solutions to enhance business processesvcvc
· Ensure adequate support plans are in place for own planned absence cover
· Identify, create and implement robust policies and processes where necessary
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical education is preferrable.
· Proven track record of successful planning, leading and implementing of significant business-wide IT infrastructure changes across various technologies
· Demonstrate strong engagement through training and support when delivering roll out/implementation plans
· Extensive working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administrator, database and data storage systems and phone systems
