CANDIDATE INFORMATION NOTICE ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
Dear Candidate,
Chronos Employment Services Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Chronos”), a company established in Turkey, registered in the Trade Registry Gazette with number 809693-0, tax ID number 2090545088 at Erenköy Tax Office, MERSIS number 0209-0545-0880-0012, with its registered office at Kozyatağı Mah. Değirmen Sk. Nida Kule A Blok No:18/19 Kadıköy, Istanbul, acts as the “Data Controller” under the Law on the Protection of Personal Data (hereinafter referred to as “KVKK”).
Within the scope of our employment services relationship with you, we hereby inform you that the personal data you share with us through your CV will be recorded, stored, preserved, reorganized, shared with legally authorized public authorities, transferred domestically or abroad to third parties, classified, transferred, and processed in other ways as defined under the KVKK, in line with the purposes that require such processing, and in connection with, limited to, and proportionate to these purposes.
I. Which of Your Personal Data Do We Process?
Identity Data: Name, surname, date and place of birth, gender, marital status, nationality
Contact Data: Email address, home address, mobile phone number
Special Category Personal Data: If included in your CV – information on association, foundation, union, political party memberships, religious or philosophical beliefs, ethnic origin or race, health information
Education Data: Education level, certificates, diplomas, expertise, foreign language skills, trainings, seminars, computer skills, exam results
Work Experience Data: Total experience, employment status and title, work history (companies, dates of employment, job description)
Visual Data: Photograph
Other Data: Driver’s license details, competencies, hobbies, salary expectations, military status, references (name, surname, title, workplace, phone, email of reference person)
These personal data will be retained in our systems for five (5) years from the date you provide your CV.
II. How and Why Do We Collect Your Personal Data?
We collect your personal data, which we request in order to fulfill our legal obligations, perform our employment services agreement, and based on Chronos’ legitimate interests, through the physical and/or electronic transmission of your information to us.
Additionally, with your consent, we may collect your personal data through telephone conversations aimed at increasing customer satisfaction, during which call recordings may be made.
III. For What Purposes Do We Process Your Personal Data?
Your personal data listed above are processed for the performance of our Employment Services Agreement, specifically for:
Creating employment opportunities and supporting your recruitment process
Assisting you in finding a job and helping our employer clients reach the right candidate by matching your profile with job postings
Transmitting your CV to the employer to whom you apply
Handling complaints, if any, related to our services
Improving our service quality and ensuring service control
Sharing your CV, including special category personal data, with domestic and/or international employers for the provision of our services
When your data is shared with an employer via Chronos, that employer also becomes a “data controller.” If you wish to exercise your rights with respect to data held by the employer, Chronos will forward your request to the relevant employer, who will be responsible as the data controller for any further processing.
Similarly, if you request the deletion, destruction, or anonymization of your personal data shared with the employer, you may submit this request to Chronos, and we will forward it to the employer. However, Chronos bears no responsibility or liability for data processing activities carried out by the employer.
IV. To Whom Do We Transfer Your Personal Data?
In order to continuously improve and provide the best possible service, your personal data may be transferred domestically and/or abroad to the following third parties:
Employers posting job advertisements (your CVs are shared with them)
Affiliated or partner companies we work with for candidate evaluation, in cases where your application to an employer is unsuccessful
Group companies of the employer to which you applied, where applicable
Public authorities and judicial bodies (prosecutor’s offices, courts, etc.), if legally required, or to exercise our right of defense in case of disputes
Since Chronos’ servers are located abroad, your personal data may also be shared with our foreign affiliates.
V. Consent Regarding References in Your CV
If your CV includes reference persons (name, surname, phone number, email, etc.), it is your responsibility to inform them and obtain their explicit consent before sharing their personal data with us. By submitting your CV to Chronos, you confirm that such consent has been obtained. Chronos reserves the right to exercise its legal remedies against any administrative or criminal sanctions directed at us due to the absence of such consents.
VI. Your Rights as a Data Subject under Article 11 of the KVKK
As per Article 11 of the KVKK, you may apply to Chronos in person and, upon verifying your identity, you have the right to:
Learn whether Chronos processes your personal data and request information if so
Learn the purpose of processing and whether your data are used appropriately
Learn whether your data is transferred domestically or abroad, and to whom
Request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete data and notification of such corrections to third parties to whom the data has been transferred
Request the deletion, destruction, or anonymization of your personal data under Article 7 of the KVKK, and request notification of these actions to third parties to whom the data has been transferred
Request an explanation regarding the method chosen for data destruction
Claim compensation if you suffer damage due to unlawful processing of your personal data
Your application will be concluded free of charge within 30 days depending on the nature of your request. However, if your request requires an additional cost, a fee may be charged in accordance with the tariff determined by the Personal Data Protection Board.
