 Responsible for providing financial leadership in the areas of accounting, corporate governance, internal control, financial reporting, management accountability, technical accounting, financial systems support, and business advisory services to senior management throughout the business. In particular, the division provides accounting guidance, decision support services, and overall governance design and implementation consulting to corporate management in all areas of operations. The accounting analyst/specialist will be involved in general business activities and high profile projects.
 
The applicant will possess significant relevant accounting experience in public accounting, within a publicly listed company, or within one or more industries, which will allow the applicant to be considered a subject matter expert for that industry or in a subject matter area such as exploration and development, refining, petrochemicals, power systems, leasing, revenue recognition, financial instruments, intellectual property, international taxation, VAT, transfer pricing, or other accounting areas. Experience within the energy industry is preferred, but not required. 
 
The successful candidate will have the ability to establish personal credibility with various internal clients and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and engagement skills. The applicant must be a team player, be able to plan and coordinate their own workload and meet deadlines. The applicant will be able to add value by delivering work of the highest quality and be able to proactively overcome issues to ensure delivery.
 
The applicant should have demonstrated accounting and financial analytical skills that include the ability to evaluate both industry and individual company information. The applicant must be able to work with minimal supervision, possess good project management skills and be able to offer logical and innovative solutions to complex client issues. The applicant must be willing to travel as required.
 
Minimum Requirements:
The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or its equivalent. A graduate degree is also desirable, as well as any relevant advanced professional competencies evidenced by professional certifications such as a CPA, CA, ACCA, or CMA. Accounting focused professional licenses and/or other forms of continuing professional education is required.
 
A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in a variety of industries which may include experience in public accounting, external reporting, financial analysis, capital markets, research, mergers & acquisitions, process/change management or strategy/management consulting, enterprise risk management. 
 
Specific operational experience in energy related activities (oil/gas/power), chemicals manufacturing, healthcare, infrastructure, utilities (public and/or private), marine, shipping, and public company administration is desirable. Specific corporate business integration experience is also desirable (start-ups experience, road show presentations and related activities).
 
Negotiation and leadership skills are highly desirable. Strong oral and written English is required. SAP or equivalent ERP systems experience is highly desirable.
 
Extensive knowledge of accounting policies and procedures established pursuant to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is required as well as a strong understanding of the content of financial statements prepared within the IFRS framework. Extensive knowledge of accounting policies and procedures in the oil and gas industry and the ability to conduct research on an IFRS accounting or financial reporting matter is preferred. A successful candidate will be able to prepare preliminary findings, analyze alternative approaches, and recommend a preferred action for Saudi Aramco. The candidate will have demonstrated the capability to make presentations or lead meetings, including at the executive level. Leadership skills are desirable. Proficiency in both oral and written English is required. SAP or equivalent ERP systems experience is highly desirable.

Business integration support for subsidiaries, joint ventures, mergers & acquisitions, including purchase accounting 
Business advisory, decision support analysis, special studies to support strategic initiatives and thought leadership.
