 Chronos Consulting’s client is a national automotive inspection services provider. The field services team is comprised of 750+ hourly employees located across the USA.

This is a newly created role to oversee and drive the implementation of policies and Best Practices to improve safety and minimize risk. You will ensure compliance with current and future regulations and standards, as well as, auditing and investigating national Worker’s Compensation claims.

The Role

Reporting to the VP of Automotive Services, you will:

Assess and deploy Health & Safety (H&S) strategies, program, and policies; deliver training and coaching to establish clear understanding for all employees on H&S expectations

 Lead the effective implementation and utilization of risk assessment and risk prevention processes, and drive mitigation measures to lower risk

Conduct audits and report on status of policy compliance; ensure the maintenance of a continuous “audit ready” state of compliance with company and government standards

Keep up-to-date with any relevant changes to H&S legislation; ensure communication of safety alerts, legislation updates, and safety management system changes to all employees and management

Conduct investigation of all H&S related incidents utilizing specific tools to drive root cause and identify actions to prevent re-occurrence; drive completion of recognized corrective actions to prevent incident re-occurrence

The Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety or related discipline, coupled with 7-10 years of experience managing Health & Safety programs

Proficient in training, consultation, and advising on various Health & Safety issues

Solid exposure and working closely with regulatory agencies policies and procedures and proven track record in working cross-functionally with Operations and Human Resources

Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to act quickly and decisively, make tough calls, and build/gain trust and respect with both management and employee base.
